Youth of Madras–Mylapore Complete Fifth Year of 24-Hour Rosary Devotion

Chennai, October 16, 2025: The St. Mary’s Archdiocesan Prayer Group, part of the Madras–Mylapore Archdiocesan Youth Commission completed five consecutive years of conducting daily online prayers and annual spiritual initiatives.

This year’s highlight was a 24-hour online rosary devotion held from 6 p.m. on October 10 to 6 p.m. on October 11, aimed at deepening the faith and prayer life of young people across the Archdiocese.

Archbishop George Antonysamy commended the youth for their consistent dedication and unity in prayer, acknowledging the initiative as a sign of spiritual renewal among young people in the Archdiocese.

Youth from 37 parishes and five special teams took part in the continuous prayer offered for world peace.

The Eucharistic celebration at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Paruthipattu, was presided by Fr. Regan Manuel, along with Fr. Ronald Richard, Director of the Youth Commission.

More than a hundred youth joined the devotion, which served as a reminder of the power of collective prayer and the enduring faith of the young community in the Archdiocese.
