The event commenced with members of the Dibrugarh Diocesan Youth Commission extending a warm welcome to members of the ICYM Northeast Regional team and other dignitaries. Each of these guests was honoured with a “Phoolam Gamusa”, a traditional Assamese symbol of respect and honour.
The ICYM Northeast Regional team, comprising Sr. Wansuk Lyngdoh, Regional Youth Lady Animator (RYLA), and Mr. Jonah, Regional Youth President (RYP), then officially handed over the Regional Youth Convention Cross to the Dibrugarh Diocesan team. The veneration of the Cross was carried out with profound devotion, accompanied by hymns led by Ajoy Kerketta, Diocesan Youth Liturgical Secretary (DYLS), and his team.
The event concluded with a fellowship lunch, reinforcing the spirit of community and togetherness. Diocesan Youth Director Fr. John Minj played a crucial role in guiding and supporting the youth throughout the event, ensuring its success.
