Venerable Mother Eliswa to be Declared ‘Blessed’ in Vallarpadam on 8 November

Cochin, September 6, 2025 – The Congregation of Teresian Carmelites has joyfully announced that its Foundress, Venerable Mother Eliswa, will be declared ‘Blessed’ during a solemn Eucharistic Celebration on 8 November 2025. The ceremony will take place at 4.30 p.m. in the National Shrine Basilica of Our Lady of Ransom, Vallarpadam.

Superior General Sr. Shahila, CTC, shared the news with “profound joy and gratitude to God”, describing the upcoming celebration as a historic milestone for the Congregation. She has appealed for prayers for favourable weather, smooth arrangements, and above all, for the deep spiritual renewal of the entire community.

“All the sisters are cordially invited to participate in this grace-filled celebration,” Sr. Shahila noted, adding that the official invitation and further details will follow soon.
