Ursuline School Wins First Prize for Waste Management in Greater Noida

Greater Noida, 4 March, 2025: Ursuline Convent Senior Secondary School has been awarded first prize for its outstanding waste management practices at the Greater Noida Flower Exhibition 2025. Organised by the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority, the event was held at City Park, Greater Noida, from 29th February to 2nd March 2025.The school received the award on 2nd March during the closing ceremony. 


MLA Tejpal Nagar presented the school with a cheque for ₹1 lakh and a 2025 calendar, recognising its excellence in cleanliness and bulk waste disposal. Ursuline School secured the award in the non-residential category, which includes schools, colleges, hotels, and hospitals. 


In addition to the waste management awards, prizes were also presented in categories such as Best Flower Display, Landscape Design, and Eco-Friendly Innovations. Participants from educational institutions, residential societies, and businesses actively took part, demonstrating their commitment to environmental sustainability. 


During the event, MLA Tejpal Nagar commended Ursuline School for setting an example in waste management and environmental conservation. He highlighted the importance of community participation in maintaining a clean and sustainable environment. 


Sr. Rekha Punia, Principal of Ursuline Convent School, shared the exciting news with students and parents, stating: 


"This achievement recognizes our collective efforts in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment. Congratulations to all!"
