“Training of Trainers” Program Held in the Diocese of Ahmedabad

Nadiad, Gujarat, February 19, 2025 – The Young Christian Students (YCS) India movement organised a "Training of Trainers" program on February 10, 2025, at the Diocesan Pastoral Centre in Nadiad. Held as part of the Jubilee Year of Hope, the event brought together students from 12 schools across the Diocese of Ahmedabad, equipping them with leadership skills and a renewed sense of mission.

Fr. Chetan Machado, National Chaplain of YCS/YSM India, led the program, guiding participants through the YCS methodology of "See, Judge, Act." The methodology empowers students to drive transformation in their personal lives as well as in society. Most Rev. Rathnaswami, Bishop of Ahmedabad, addressed the attendees, highlighting the vital role of youth in the Church and society. Fr. Edwin Anand, Diocesan Youth Director, also shared insights on the vision of the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), encouraging students to take an active role in their communities.

The training program marked a significant step in reviving the YCS movement within the Diocese of Ahmedabad. It served as a catalyst for nurturing young leaders committed to positive change. With renewed enthusiasm, YCS aims to inspire students to become proactive agents of transformation, fostering hope and progress in society.
