St Peter’s Pontifical Seminary in Bangalore Hosts Pre-Christmas Gathering

Bangalore, 4 December, 2025 — St Peter’s Pontifical Seminary brought together more than 150 migrants from across the city, along with priests, religious and seminarians, for a Pre-Christmas Gathering aimed at fostering unity, hope and communal celebration as the festive season begins.


The event was led by Fr. Franklin Minj, Director of the Migrant Mission, Bangalore, who served as Chief Guest and Celebrant. In his message, he emphasised that the heart of Christmas lies in compassion, solidarity and the responsibility to accompany migrants and marginalised groups with dignity and care.


Guest of Honour Fr. Richard Britto, Rector of St Peter’s Seminary, joined the celebration along with Administrator Fr. Joseph Souza, Pro-Rector Fr. Jude Doss, migrant mentor Fr. Arokia Anthony, and migrant leader Sanjeev Khalkho with his core team from Yeshwanthpur. Their collective presence underlined the seminary’s ongoing commitment to strengthening outreach to migrant communities.


The gathering featured prayers, hymns and cultural performances that highlighted the diversity of the participants while promoting shared identity and mutual support. The atmosphere was marked by fellowship and gratitude, offering migrants a meaningful space to celebrate and connect.
