St. Joseph Dental College Marks Pre-Christmas Celebration in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh

Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, December 18, 2025 — St. Joseph Dental College organised its Pre-Christmas celebrations at the college auditorium on Thursday, bringing together students, faculty, staff and invited guests to mark the festive season.

The programme began with a lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by the blessing and inauguration of the Christmas crib by Jaya Rao Polimera, Bishop of Eluru diocese, who attended the event as President and Chief Guest.

Addressing the gathering, Bishop Polimera reflected on the deeper meaning of Christmas, underlining values such as humility, love, compassion and selfless service. He said the message of the birth of Jesus Christ remains relevant in contemporary society and holds particular significance for those in the healthcare profession, calling on students and professionals to live out these values through care, empathy and dedication to service.

The celebration featured Christmas carols by students of St. Joseph Dental College and St. Joseph College of Nursing, along with a short skit depicting the birth of Jesus Christ and its message of peace and hope.
