He ceremoniously handed over the first copy to Sister Alessandra Smerilli, F.M.A., Secretary of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, during a special event held at Archbishop’s House, New Delhi, on November 30, 2024.

In dioceses worldwide, the Jubilee will be inaugurated on December 29, 2024, with diocesan bishops or administrators celebrating Holy Mass in their cathedrals.

The Jubilee Year will conclude in dioceses on December 28, 2025. The official closing ceremony of the Holy Year will take place on January 26, 2026, when Pope Francis will solemnly close the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica.
