Punalur Diocese Kicks Off Catholic Connect App Awareness Drive

Punalur, September 18, 2024: In a bid to enhance digital connectivity among the Catholic community, Bishop Selvister Ponnumuthan of Punalur officially inaugurated an awareness class for diocesan members regarding the Catholic Connect App. The event was presided over by Rev. Dr. Roy B. Simpson, Chancellor of Punalur Diocese, and attended by representatives from various parishes.

The awareness class was conducted by members of the Catholic Connect Team, who provided detailed insights into the features and benefits of the App. The app aims to bring together the Indian Catholic community within India and abroad, offering access to spiritual resources, Catholic news, and a variety of services, including education, health insurance, marriage and employment portals, and emergency assistance.

Notable clergy such as Rev. Dr. Johney Xavier Puthukkattu, Chancellor of Kochi Diocese, and Rev. Dr. Christy Joseph, PRO of Punalur Diocese lent their support to the initiative.

The Catholic Connect app serves as a comprehensive platform for Catholics, helping them to stay better connected with their parish, diocese and the Catholic community.
