Vatican City, 26 November 2025 — At his Wednesday General Audience, Pope Leo XIV addressed thousands in St Peter’s Square, calling on believers worldwide to embrace the Resurrection of Christ as a source of hope and meaning in the face of modern challenges. He reminded faithful that the Resurrection is not a distant memory, but a living event capable of transforming lives, healing despair and inspiring solidarity with creation and the vulnerable.
In his catechesis, the Pope said Christians must allow the “Paschal hope” to reshape their outlook — seeing suffering, injustice, environmental degradation and human fragility through the light of Easter, trusting that life triumphs over death and love over despair.
Urging an embrace of fraternity, justice and ecological responsibility, he called on all people to become witnesses of hope by protecting human dignity and caring for creation — expressing that faith is meant to spur practical solidarity and compassion in a world longing for renewal.
