Northern Region Family Commission Launches Digital Hub for Families

New Delhi, September 29, 2026: The Northern Regional Family Commission has launched a new website offering pastoral resources and guidance to couples and families at different stages of life.

Archbishop Anil J. T. Couto of Delhi inaugurated the portal on September 24 at Archbishop’s House, New Delhi, in the presence of Bishop Deepak V. Tauro of Delhi, Fr George Manimala, Regional Executive Secretary of the Family Commission, and members of the web development team.

Archbishop Couto described the initiative as a timely response to Pope Francis’ call to accompany families throughout their journey. He said the website could become a source of guidance and hope for families seeking support in today’s rapidly changing society.

Bishop Tauro appreciated the portal’s user-friendly design and pastoral focus, particularly its potential to reach young people and families across the Northern Region.

The website’s Resources section, developed during the 10th year of Amoris Laetitia (The Joy of Love), provides materials for engaged couples preparing for marriage, newly married couples, middle-aged couples and those in their later years.

Reflections, prayers and formation materials are intended to help couples strengthen their relationships and live the joy of love in daily life, in keeping with the vision of the parish as a “family of families”.

The commission will also collaborate with Catholic Connect Matrimony to assist Catholic young adults seeking suitable partners for sacramental marriage.

The website offers instant translation into Hindi and Punjabi through Google Translate, making its resources accessible to families across the region.

Fr Manimala thanked Archbishop Couto for his encouragement and web designers Cyril Shubham Thomas and Aliza Kalpna Raymond for their contribution to the project.

He expressed hope that the portal would develop into a vibrant pastoral resource for families and parishes across the Northern Region.
