A Three-Day Gathering of Faith, Friendship and Mission

Taking place from 13 to 15 November 2026, the conference is open to young people aged 18 to 35 and will be held in the UAE. Organisers are inviting participants to experience what they describe as an opportunity to encounter Jesus, deepen their faith and connect with young Christians from across the region.

With the theme ‘Move the Mountains’, the conference aims to encourage young people to discover how faith can inspire them to overcome challenges and become missionary disciples in their families, communities and wider society.

Worship, Conversations and New Friendships

The programme promises a combination of worship, faith encounters, meaningful conversations and opportunities to build new friendships.

Among the featured speakers are Fr. Jboy Gonzalez SJ and Michaela Joanna R. Flores, who will contribute to the conference’s programme for young Catholic participants.

The organisers hope the gathering will create an environment where young people can move beyond simply attending an event and instead experience a deeper encounter with Christ and with one another.

Travel packages from India are being offered from ₹55,000, with an indirect-flight package priced at ₹55,000 and a direct-flight option at ₹60,000. The packages include flights, visa, conference registration, accommodation, food and airport transfers.

‘Cover the Theme Song’ Competition

Alongside the conference, CHARIS Asia is also inviting young musicians and singers to take part in the official ‘Cover the Theme Song’ competition.

Participants are being asked to record their own version of ‘Move The Mountains’ by Ajin Joseph, the official theme song connected with the conference.

The competition offers performers an opportunity to showcase their musical talents and potentially earn a place on the CAYC 2026 stage in the UAE.

Entries must be submitted by 1 November 2026 at 11.59pm UAE time (Gulf Standard Time).

How Young Musicians Can Enter

Participants can enter either as solo artists or as groups and must record a vertical portrait video of their performance. While singers and musicians are encouraged to add their own style and interpretation, the original lyrics and recognisable melody must be retained.

Entrants must publish their performance as an Instagram Reel and add @charisyouth.uae as a collaborator. They must also include the hashtag #MTM and submit the same video through the official competition entry form.

Organisers have stressed that the competition will be judged on audio performance rather than social media popularity. Likes, views and expensive production will not determine the winner.

A Chance to Take the Stage

The winner will have the opportunity to perform on the CAYC 2026 stage in the UAE, opening for a headline band. A special surprise gift and a feature on the official CHARIS UAE social media page are also among the rewards.

For young Catholics with a passion for music, the competition offers more than a chance to win a prize. It provides an opportunity to use their talents in service of faith and to share a message of hope with an international audience.

As the conference prepares to bring together young people from across Asia, its message is clear: faith is not simply something to hold — it is something to live, share and put into action.

The question for young Catholics is simple: are you ready to move the mountains?
