Lighthouse Expands Presence with New Panaji Centre

PANAJI, 24 August 2026: Lighthouse, the Archdiocesan Centre for books, religious articles and gifts, will open a new centre at the Institute Piedade building, near the main SBI branch in Panaji, on August 24.

The new centre will be inaugurated by the Archbishop of Goa, Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrão, in the presence of Auxiliary Bishop Simião Purificacao Fernandes and other dignitaries.

Wide Range of Religious and Devotional Items

Lighthouse offers a wide range of products aimed at supporting personal faith, Christian living and the celebration of important milestones in the lives of individuals and families.

Its collection includes sacred statues, crucifixes, rosaries, devotional and spiritual books, prayer books, and religious gifts. Customers can also find gifts and articles for Baptisms, First Holy Communions and Weddings.

The centre also stocks altar supplies, including candles, incense and other liturgical essentials.

Fr. Jovial Fernandes, in charge of Lighthouse, said the centre aims to provide a thoughtfully curated shopping experience for people seeking religious articles and meaningful gifts.

Lighthouse Expands Across Goa

The new Panaji centre adds to Lighthouse’s existing presence across Goa.

The Archdiocesan centre currently operates branches in Margao, opposite the cemetery, and Vasco, at the St Andrew’s Church complex. It also has a store at the Basilica of Bom Jesus.

With its new Panaji centre, Lighthouse is set to make its range of religious books, devotional articles, liturgical supplies and gifts more accessible to people in the capital city and surrounding areas.
