Kerala Seminar Urges Principals to Embrace Christ-Centred Leadership

Anakkara, Kerala, April 5, 2026: A leadership seminar for English medium school principals in Anakkara, Kerala emphasised the call to model Christ-centred leadership through service, humility and integrity.

Held at Monfort Higher Secondary School, Anakkara, the programme brought together school heads from across the region under the theme “Live Like Christ, Lead Like Christ,” focusing on both spiritual renewal and professional growth.

The seminar was organised under the guidance of Mother Josephin Mary Cleatus, Provincial of the Maria Province of the Sisters of St. Anne of Tiruchirappalli (SAT). She presided over the gathering, joined by education coordinators and senior members of the congregation.

Bro. Ignatius Dass J., Correspondent and Principal of the host institution, served as the resource person, leading sessions on contemporary leadership challenges in education. He outlined various leadership styles while underscoring servant leadership as the most authentic expression of Christian leadership. Participants were encouraged to lead with empathy, accountability and a strong value-based vision rooted in the Gospel.

The programme also featured interactive group discussions and collaborative exercises, enabling principals to reflect on practical ways to integrate faith-based leadership into school administration and community building.

The seminar concluded with the celebration of the Holy Mass, where the homily reinforced the central message of the programme, urging educators to become witnesses of Christ in their institutions.

Organisers said the initiative aimed to strengthen the spiritual and administrative capacities of school leaders, equipping them to guide their institutions with purpose, faith and a renewed sense of mission.
