Karnataka Charismatic Lay Leaders’ Retreat and Seminar Held at Logos Retreat Centre, Bengaluru

Bengaluru, 30 May, 2025: The Karnataka Charismatic Lay Leaders’ Retreat and Seminar was held from 25 to 29 May 2025 at Logos Retreat Centre, Babusapalya, Bengaluru. The event was jointly organised by the Karnataka Regional Service of Communion (KRSC) and the Logos Retreat Centre.

Key resource persons included the Rt. Robert Miranda, Bishop of the Diocese of Gulbarga and KRSC Episcopal Advisor; Fr. Richard Pais, Director of KROSS, Bengaluru; Fr. Franklin D’Souza, KRSC Spiritual Director from the Diocese of Shimoga; Fr. Albert VC and Fr. Davis VC from Logos; along with Bro. Cheriyan Ramapuram, KRSC Coordinator, and Bro. Allwyn from the Logos Music Ministry.

The retreat began with a session on The Life of Holiness by Fr. Albert VC, followed by his instructions. Fr. Davis celebrated the Holy Mass, delivering a homily on Mark 1:25 with reflections on deliverance and exorcism. The day ended with adoration led by Fr. Albert, centred on faith.

The Next day began with Fr. Franklin D’Souza speaking on Formation of Conscience (Mark 6:14–29), followed by Revisiting the Original Call by Bro. Cheriyan. Fr. Franklin also celebrated Holy Mass, preaching on sin and its consequences. Fr. Davis led a session on Preparation for Confession, while Fr. Franklin discussed the Commandments and repentance. The day concluded with silent adoration.

On the third day, Fr. Franklin delivered talks on The Power of God’s Word and Exercising Charisms. Fr. Richard Pais presented on The Role of the Laity (Canonical Aspects) and celebrated Mass with a homily on the Holy Spirit. Fr. Albert led Divine Mercy Adoration, and Fr. Franklin led Physical Healing Adoration.

In the next day session, Fr. Franklin discussed Church and Magisterium. Bro. Cheriyan spoke on Receiving and Exercising Charisms and Personal Prayer. Bishop Miranda celebrated Mass and delivered a homily on forgiveness. He also addressed Building Relationships in the Neighbourhood. Fr. Franklin concluded the day with a session on inner healing and adoration.

The final day focused on Urgency for Evangelisation by Bro. Cheriyan and Gifts/Charisms/Fruits by Fr. Franklin. The retreat concluded with Holy Mass, the laying on of hands, and a closing ceremony led by Fr. Franklin.
