BENGALURU, October 8, 2026: Around 1,500 nurses, allied health professionals, doctors and religious from 20 states gathered at Christ School, Bengaluru, for FLY ’26, the Jesus Youth National Nurses Meet, held from October 1 to 4.

The four-day gathering focused on faith, fellowship, renewal and mission, inviting healthcare professionals to deepen their relationship with Christ and rediscover healthcare as a vocation of service.

Nurses and allied health professionals formed the majority of participants, alongside doctors and about 100 religious from various institutions. Through prayer, reflection, fellowship and formation sessions, participants explored ways of integrating their faith with their professional responsibilities and responding to the needs of the sick and suffering with compassion.

A major focus of the meet was strengthening and expanding the healthcare ministry of Jesus Youth across different zones of the country. Participants were encouraged to establish communities of faith and fellowship in their institutions, support one another in their professional vocation and bear witness to Christ through their daily work.

The gathering also emphasised that the mission of healthcare professionals extends beyond clinical treatment. Participants were encouraged to bring hope, dignity and compassion to patients, families and communities while recognising opportunities to express their faith through service.

FLY ’26 concluded with a commissioning of participants to carry the experience of the gathering back to their hospitals, workplaces and communities.

The organisers described the meet as a time of renewal and mission, aimed at inspiring healthcare professionals to view their work not merely as a profession but as an opportunity for service and witness.
