According to the advisory dated 07 April 2026, Indian citizens are strongly encouraged to stay put, shelter in place, and refrain from traveling within the country unless absolutely necessary. The government emphasized that any movement—whether within Iran or toward border crossings—should only be undertaken after close coordination with the Indian Embassy in Tehran and upon receiving explicit guidance.
