ICYM Shirva Deanery, Udupi, Empower Youth with Public Speaking Training Program

Pamboor, March 4, 2025: The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), Shirva Deanery, Udupi, Karnataka, conducted a successful MC training program on March 2, 2025, at Holy Cross Church Hall, Pamboor, to equip youth with essential skills in event hosting and public speaking, led by Dr. Grynal D’Mello.

Ms. Josita Mendonca , President of ICYM Shirva Deanery welcomed the gathering. Dr. Grynal D'Mello, Associate Professor at NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte, led the session, sharing valuable insights on public speaking, audience engagement, and time management. His interactive approach and real-world examples made the session highly informative and dynamic. 

The program was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Mrs. Florine Saldanha, Animator of Pamboor Unit; Mrs. Jackaline Mendonca, Animator of Shirva Unit; and Mr. Arwin Saldanha, President of ICYM Pamboor Unit. 

The participants actively engaged in discussions and activities, enhancing their confidence and communication skills. The program received positive feedback, with participants highlighting the practical benefits of the training. A total of 50 enthusiastic youth participated in the program.  

A memento was presented to Dr. Grynal D'Mello as a token of gratitude, and the event's sponsors were felicitated for their generous contributions. The program's success was attributed to the support and guidance of Fr. Arnold Mathias, Director of ICYM Shirva Deanery, and Fr. Henry Mascarenhas, Parish Priest of Holy Cross Church.  

ICYM Shirva Deanery reaffirmed its commitment to youth empowerment through this well-organised initiative, leaving a lasting impact on the participants.
