ICYM Nagpur Welcomes New District Youth Director, Fr. Augustine D'Silva

Nagpur, June 22, 2025 : The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Nagpur formally welcomed Fr. Augustine D'Silva as its new District Youth Director during a meeting held at the Youth Office, Archbishop's House, Nagpur.

The event commenced with a solemn prayer service, setting a reverent tone for the proceedings. Fr. D'Silva was then officially introduced and welcomed by the diocesan executive committee members, who gathered to mark the beginning of this new chapter in the youth ministry’s journey.

Fr. D'Silva's appointment is seen as a significant step forward in revitalising the organisation’s mission and outreach. With a focus on strengthening spiritual formation and enhancing youth engagement, his leadership is expected to usher in renewed energy and direction for ICYM Nagpur.

The meeting also served as a moment of gratitude and reflection, as heartfelt thanks were extended to Fr. Anbu Xavier, the outgoing youth in-charge. His dedicated service and unwavering commitment over the years have played a pivotal role in shaping the spiritual and developmental growth of the youth movement. His guidance has left a lasting impact on countless young people within the community.

Speaking on behalf of ICYM Nagpur, General Secretary Mr. Aaron Daniel expressed optimism for the future. “We are truly blessed to have Fr. D'Silva join us in this mission.
