Jesus and Mary College in Delhi Opens Admissions for Skill-Based Certificate Courses

New Delhi, June 22, 2025 : Jesus and Mary College (JMC), a renowned institution affiliated with the University of Delhi, has opened admissions for its Certificate Courses (CCs) for the academic year 2025–26. These short-term programmes aim to provide students with practical, industry-relevant skills that complement their academic pursuits.

Organised by the college’s Centre for Skills Development (CSD), the CCs span a wide range of disciplines—from artificial intelligence and sustainability to journalism, law, and marketing. The college has partnered with reputed organisations such as FICCI, Grant Thornton Bharat, Digital Academy 360, and NASSCOM, offering students joint certification upon completion.

“We design these courses to respond to current industry demands,” said a spokesperson from JMC’s CSD. “Our goal is to help students build employability and confidence in a rapidly evolving job market.”

Flexible, Inclusive, and Professionally Driven

The certificate courses range from 30 to 60 hours in duration and are scheduled flexibly—either on weekends or after regular college hours. Importantly, the programmes are open not only to JMC students but also to male and female students from other colleges and universities across India, including non-DU institutions.

Among the flagship offerings this year are:

1. AI and Machine Learning

2. Corporate Law & Forensic Accounting

3. Media and Journalism

4. Digital Marketing & SEO

5. Data Analytics with Python

6. Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation

7. Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Studies

Each course combines theoretical instruction with hands-on training and project-based assessments, encouraging real-world application of concepts.

Admissions Now Open

Admission to the certificate courses is conducted on a first-come, first-served basis. Prospective students must register through the official JMC website. Some courses are expected to commence in July, with others rolling out through August.

Fees vary depending on the course and collaborating institution but are structured to remain accessible. Students can also choose to enrol in more than one course, depending on their schedules.

A Step Beyond Degrees

With the job market increasingly favouring skill-based hiring, JMC’s Certificate Courses offer a timely opportunity for students to upgrade their competencies. Whether a student is pursuing humanities, science, or commerce, the CCs are crafted to serve as valuable additions to any academic portfolio.
