Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Opens Applications for India’s Women Entrepreneurs — Apply by August 2026

New Delhi, August 11, 2026: Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women is offering established women entrepreneurs in India an opportunity to strengthen their business skills, develop growth strategies and build valuable professional networks through a fully funded executive education programme.

The global initiative, launched in 2008, aims to support women entrepreneurs with practical business education, mentoring and access to a worldwide community of business leaders. It has reached more than 320,000 women across more than 150 countries.

In India, the programme is delivered in partnership with three of the country’s leading management institutions — the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore and IIM Lucknow.

A Programme Designed for Business Growth

The India programme is aimed at women entrepreneurs who are ready to take their businesses to the next level. It provides more than 100 hours of learning through an intensive three-month executive education programme.

Participants attend in-person residential modules, receive mentorship from industry experts and take part in peer discussions with other women business owners.

The programme focuses on practical tools that entrepreneurs can apply directly to their businesses. Participants are guided in areas including financial management, marketing, leadership, strategy and operational improvement.

Tuition fees are fully covered by Goldman Sachs, although participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation and related expenses.

Who Can Apply?

The programme is designed for established women entrepreneurs who play a key role in decision-making within their businesses.

Applicants must meet several eligibility requirements. They must be the owner or co-owner of a business and must be the primary decision-maker. Their business should have been operational for at least one year, have a minimum of three employees and generate an annual turnover of more than ₹30 lakh.

Women who have previously graduated from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women programme are not eligible to apply again.

The programme is open to entrepreneurs from different industries, with the curriculum designed around business skills that can be applied across sectors.

What Participants Will Learn

The curriculum is divided into three residential modules covering different stages of business development.

The first module, Foundations for Growth, focuses on building the basic capabilities required for sustainable expansion.

The second, Building Resilience in a Changing World, looks at how businesses can respond to changing economic and market conditions.

The third module, Leading for Success, focuses on leadership and building organisations capable of long-term growth.

Across the programme, participants explore entrepreneurial leadership, growth strategy, innovation, strategic marketing, financial management, operational improvement and building high-performing teams.

Mentorship and Global Networking

Education is only one part of the initiative. Participants also gain access to experienced mentors, investors and business leaders who can provide practical guidance as they develop their growth plans.

On completing the programme, participants become part of an alumni community of more than 4,100 women entrepreneurs in India, as well as the wider global network created through 10,000 Women.

The initiative says participants have reported significant improvements in their businesses following graduation. On average, within 18 months, participants have reported a fourfold increase in revenue, a doubling of their workforce and a fivefold improvement in productivity.

Applications Open for 2026 Cohort

Applications for the next cohort are open, with the application process scheduled to continue through August 2026. Interviews and final decisions are also expected during August, with the new cohort due to begin in September.

Interested entrepreneurs can begin the process by completing the Expression of Interest form.

For women who cannot attend the residential programme, Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women also offers a free online curriculum through Coursera, providing a more flexible way to access business education.

An Opportunity to Build for the Future

For established women entrepreneurs seeking to expand their businesses, the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women programme offers a combination of formal management education, expert mentorship and peer networking.

By partnering with leading Indian management institutions, the initiative aims to equip women business owners with the knowledge and confidence to make strategic decisions, create employment and contribute to wider economic growth.

The programme represents an opportunity not simply to learn about business, but to develop practical strategies that can be put into action as entrepreneurs build their companies for the future.
