Benaulim, Goa, Jan 13, 2026: The XI Batch CCBI Women Religious Financial Administrators’ Course is being held from January 13–17 at Shanti Sadan, Goa, bringing together 36 sisters from 15 women’s religious congregations across the country. Organised by the CCBI Extension Secretariat, the programme aims to strengthen the financial and administrative capacities of provincials and provincial financial administrators.
A key focus of the programme was on the ethical and transparent financial practices within religious congregations. In his orientation address, Fr. Aleixo Menezes highlighted that financial management in religious institutions is not merely a technical responsibility but a moral commitment rooted in compassion, accountability, and service. He noted that transparent handling of resources fosters trust, strengthens credibility, and safeguards the mission of congregations and their associated institutions.
Supporting this focus, professional inputs were provided by Mr. Sunil Gonsalves, C.A., and Mr. Gaver S. Lobo, C.A., who offered practical insights into sound financial administration, compliance, and best practices relevant to religious institutions.
The programme also includes spiritual enrichment and exposure visits, with participants undertaking a pilgrimage to prominent faith centres in and around Goa. Shanti Sadan continues to offer specialised courses in financial and diocesan administration to support those entrusted with leadership and stewardship roles within the Church.
