Faith and Healing: Jenny Wilson Pinto’s Testimony of Mother Mary’s Intercession

October 7, 2025:

Jenny Wilson Pinto, a parishioner from Silwara, has inspired her community with a heartfelt testimony of faith and healing—a journey she attributes to the loving intercession of Mother Mary. After marrying Wilson Pinto of Badkui Church, Rajasthan in 2006, Jenny soon conceived, but her pregnancy was shadowed by persistent health complications. She recounts how fragile her health was during those months, with frequent hospital admissions that sometimes lasted up to two weeks at a time. At seven months, doctors advised Jenny to continue hospitalization for the remainder of her pregnancy in order to prevent a miscarriage.

Faced with overwhelming fear and uncertainty, Jenny sought solace in prayer. She poured her distress before Mother Mary, praying for the safe arrival of her child. “You gave me this blessing; please help me to bring it safely into the world,” she pleaded. Jenny made a personal vow—if her delivery was normal, she would take her child to the Velankanni shrine in thanks. Her prayers were answered: she delivered her daughter safely, and Jenny was later blessed with two more children, both delivered naturally.

Jenny’s faith was tested again in May, when her health deteriorated unexpectedly. She developed a recurring fever that would subside with medication, only to return. Medical tests eventually revealed an infection, prompting referral to a private hospital in Nagpur. Although she underwent treatment, her recovery was slow, and subsequent scans revealed a lump in her uterus and ovary. Doctors warned that it could be a fibroid or even cancer, pressing for immediate surgery. The grim prognosis left Jenny and her family devastated, but determined to seek a second opinion. Each consulted doctor, however, confirmed that surgery was unavoidable.

The day before her surgery at Max Hospital, Jenny asked her husband to take her to the grotto, where she prayed the rosary before Mother Mary. Overwhelmed, she prayed for strength and healing, declaring her belief that everything would turn out well. The operation proceeded as planned, and Jenny awaited her biopsy results with hope.Twelve days after surgery, her prayers were answered again. The medical reports returned normal—no sign of cancer. “The doctors were delighted and told me I was healthy,” Jenny recollected. Now, three months after her operation, Jenny enjoys restored health, crediting her recovery to divine intervention. For this, I thank Mother Mary and the Lord. I also thank the Dias Media Team for giving me the opportunity to share my testimony,” she concluded.

Her full testimony can be watched on the Messenger Nagpur YouTube channel.
