Nuvem, Goa, April 3, 2025 – The Diocesan Youth Centre of the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman organised its annual “Day with the Lord” event on March 23 at Jesus, Mary, and Joseph Parish in Nuvem, South Goa. The event brought together around 800 young participants from 60 parishes across Goa, offering them a spiritually enriching experience centred on the theme, “Hope will not disappoint you!”
The event commenced with an uplifting session of praise and worship, setting a prayerful tone for the day. Fr. Reagan Fernandes, Director of the Vocation Commission for Diocesan Clergy (VCDC), then delivered an insightful talk, emphasising the importance of faith and perseverance in daily life.
A key highlight of the event was the Eucharistic celebration. During the Mass, Diocesan Youth Director Fr. Blaise Lobo led a penitential rite using a yellow ribbon on a cross, symbolising renewal and hope.
Throughout the day, participants engaged in various activities, including crafting paper crosses and praying for one another, fostering both spiritual and communal bonding.
The event was made possible through the support of Fr. Vital, the parish priest of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph Parish, along with Fr. Venancio, Fr. Joephil, dedicated youth volunteers from Nuvem Parish, and the Diocesan Youth Centre (DYC) team.
The “Day with the Lord” event left a profound impact on the attendees, who returned home with renewed faith, joy, and cherished memories. The gathering not only deepened their connection with God but also strengthened the sense of unity and fellowship among young Catholics across Goa.
