Council of Bishops of Madhya Pradesh Holds Annual Meeting in Bhopal

Bhopal, August 14, 2025: The Council of Bishops of Madhya Pradesh (CBMP) convened its annual meeting at the Pastoral Centre, Bhopal, on August 12 and 13, bringing together bishops, priests, religious leaders, regional secretaries, and rectors to deliberate on pastoral priorities and strengthen collaborative efforts across the region.


On 12th August, participants arrived for exclusive sessions for the bishops and CBMP members. A combined session of CBMP and the Conference of Religious India (CRI) was also held, fostering dialogue on common concerns and opportunities for joint pastoral action.


The Eucharistic celebration was held on 13th August, followed by the inaugural session, which included the welcome address and presentation of the meeting schedule. Regional Commission Secretaries delivered detailed reports on ongoing projects and outlined future initiatives. An open session provided a platform for participants to share suggestions aimed at improving pastoral coordination in Madhya Pradesh.


Special interactions took place between CBMP members and the rectors and staff of Khrist Prem Regional Philosophate (KPRP), Bhopal, and Khrist Prem Regional Theologate (KPRT), Ashta, reflecting a spirit of fraternity, a shared vision for the Church’s mission, and a renewed commitment to serve the faithful with unity and dedication.
