CBCI Mourns Victims of Delhi Blast, Urges Vigilance and Prayer

New Delhi, November 11, 2025: The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India (CBCI) expressed deep shock and profound sorrow over the tragic car blast that occurred near the Red Fort in Delhi on the evening of November 10. The explosion claimed innocent lives and left several injured, plunging the nation into mourning.


In a statement released by the CBCI, the bishops extended their heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives. “Our thoughts and prayers are with them in their time of immense sorrow. We also pray for the speedy recovery of all those who have been injured,” the statement read.


The CBCI appealed to citizens across the country to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities or unattended objects to the police or local authorities. The bishops also urged all parish priests nationwide to stay alert and to inform the concerned authorities about any suspicious activity or unattended item in or around church premises.


“Let us come together as one community, uphold peace, and cooperate to ensure the safety and well-being of all citizens. Let us continue to pray for peace and safety across our beloved nation,” the statement concluded.
