Parathwada, Maharashtra, March 8, 2025 – Most Rev. Malcolm Sequeira, Bishop of the Diocese of Amravati, inaugurated and blessed the Jeevandisha Tailoring Unit in Parathwada on March 7, 2025. The initiative, launched by Jeevan Vikas Sanstha, aims to equip women and youth from the diocese with tailoring skills, fostering self-reliance and economic empowerment. The event marked a significant step in the organisation’s mission to uplift marginalised communities through skill development programs.
During the ceremony, Bishop Sequeira praised Jeevan Vikas Sanstha for its commitment to empowering underprivileged sections of society. He highlighted the transformative potential of skill-based training and its role in creating sustainable livelihood opportunities. The bishop also led a blessing ceremony, invoking God’s grace on the facility and all those who would benefit from it. The blessing underscored the spiritual foundation of the initiative, highlighting the belief that acts of service and empowerment reflect divine compassion and love.
