Arunachal Administration Supports Missionaries of Charity with Rs 1.22 Lakh Contribution

Khonsa, Arunachal Pradesh, June 19, 2026: In a gesture of solidarity with the poor and vulnerable, the district administration of Tirap extended financial support to the Missionaries of Charity in Khonsa through a contribution of ₹1.22 lakh.

The cheque was handed over by Tirap Deputy Commissioner Techu Aran during a programme held at his office on June 16.

The amount was raised through voluntary contributions from Heads of Departments across the district in response to an appeal from the Missionaries of Charity, whose ministry focuses on caring for the sick, destitute, orphaned, abandoned, and underprivileged members of society.

Commending the congregation’s dedicated service to those on the margins, the district administration reaffirmed its commitment to supporting institutions engaged in humanitarian and social welfare work. Officials noted that the contribution reflects a spirit of community solidarity and shared responsibility towards the welfare of the most vulnerable.

The initiative highlights the continuing collaboration between civil authorities and charitable organisations in addressing the needs of disadvantaged communities in the region.
