Pondicherry, December 20, 2024: The Archdiocese of Pondicherry-Cuddalore unveiled the Jubilee 2025 Cross December 18 at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Pondicherry, during a special clergy-religious recollection. Presided over by Bishop Francis Kalist of Archbishop of Pondicherry-Cuddalore, the event marked a significant milestone in preparing for the Jubilee Year, drawing 170 priests and religious men for spiritual reflection and renewal.
Archbishop Francis Kalist delivered an inspiring message, emphasizing the unique significance of this year's Christmas. "This Christmas is something new. This year, it marks 2025 years of Jesus' nativity. Let us have a spiritual preparation that welcomes His birth into our hearts and transforms us to become 'pilgrims of hope' in our life and ministry," he urged the assembly.
Organized under the stewardship of Fr. Philomindoss, Financial Administrator and Diocesan Contact Person for Jubilee 2025 and Fr. Prem Kumar, focused on the Jubilee theme of Pilgrims of Hope. Rev. Prof. Dr. Yesu Karunanidhi from the CCBI National Facilitating Team provided an insightful introduction to Spes Non Confundit (Hope Does Not Disappoint) and the CCBI Pastoral Plan Mission 2033, equipping the clergy to guide the faithful on their Jubilee journey.
The unveiling of the Jubilee Cross symbolized the beginning of a transformative spiritual journey for the Archdiocese. As the faithful prepare to celebrate 2025 years of Jesus' nativity, the Archdiocese envisions a year of grace, joy and renewal, inspiring believers to deepen their faith and become ambassadors of hope in the world.
