Archdiocese of Bombay Launches ‘Scripture Unveiled’ Bible Study Programme for Young Adults

Mumbai, August 5, 2026: The Archdiocesan Bible Commission, in collaboration with Youth United for Christ (YU4C), has announced the launch of 'Scripture Unveiled', a thematic Bible study certificate programme specially designed to help young Catholics develop a deeper understanding of Sacred Scripture.

Beginning on 30 August 2026, the course offers participants an opportunity to explore the Bible through engaging discussions, creative learning methods, and thematic reflections that connect Scripture with everyday life. Open to young adults aged 18 to 35, the programme aims to nurture faith while equipping participants with a richer appreciation of God's Word.

A Journey Through Scripture

Unlike traditional Bible study classes, Scripture Unveiled adopts a thematic approach that encourages participants to discover recurring biblical images, symbols and messages. Topics will include themes such as 'Rooted and Uprooted', 'Water and Spirit', 'Temples and High Places', along with several other scriptural reflections that reveal the unity and depth of the Bible.

Spread across 10 sessions over six months, the course will be held on alternate Sundays, allowing participants to balance their studies, work and parish commitments while steadily growing in their knowledge of Scripture.

Interactive Learning Experience

Organisers describe the programme as more than simply a classroom course. Participants can expect a dynamic learning environment led by an experienced resource team that combines biblical scholarship with creative teaching methods.

Interactive discussions, group activities and thematic presentations are expected to make the sessions both spiritually enriching and intellectually engaging.

On successful completion of the programme, participants will receive a certificate recognising their commitment to biblical formation.

Venue and Registration

The sessions will be conducted every alternate Sunday from 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. at the CCR Office, Salvation Seva Kendra, Dadar (West), Mumbai.

The registration fee for the complete programme is ₹800, making it accessible to young people seeking to deepen their understanding of the Scriptures.
