Amrat Talitha Kum India Equips Caregivers Through Integration Workshop in Mumbai

Mumbai, April 28, 2026: In a significant initiative aimed at strengthening the well-being and resilience of those engaged in frontline ministry, Amrat Talitha Kum India organised a three-day Psycho-Social-Spiritual Integration Workshop at Atmadarshan, Mumbai, from April 17 to 19.

The workshop brought together 29 participants from Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh, offering an immersive and transformative experience focused on holistic care and personal renewal.

Facilitated by Fr. Tony Menezes, SVD, the programme addressed key aspects of self-awareness, emotional healing, emotional hygiene, and psycho-social-spiritual integration. Special emphasis was placed on the unique challenges faced by caregivers, social workers, and those ministering to survivors of trauma and exploitation.

Through a blend of interactive sessions, guided reflection, and creative exercises, participants explored ways to maintain emotional and spiritual balance while accompanying vulnerable individuals. The workshop provided practical tools to help them sustain their ministry with greater compassion, resilience, and effectiveness.

Organisers noted that the programme underscored the vital importance of caring for caregivers, particularly those involved in demanding social and pastoral ministries. By integrating psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions, the workshop sought to deepen participants' capacity for healing accompaniment and strengthen their commitment to their mission.

The initiative reflects Amrat Talitha Kum India's continuing dedication to empowering religious and lay collaborators engaged in the fight against human trafficking and in the care of survivors across the country.
