Mumbai, March 27, 2026: In a concerted effort to strengthen pro-life advocacy and formation in the Church, CHARIS India has announced Veritas 2026, a three-day intensive training programme focused on promoting the dignity of human life. The event will be held from May 8 to 10 at the Animation and Renewal Centre (ARC), Panvel, near Mumbai.
The initiative is being organised by Indian Catholics United for Life and hosted by the Eva Pro-Life Movement. It seeks to equip participants with the knowledge, practical skills, and resources necessary to uphold and defend the sanctity of life, while fostering a deeper culture of life within families and communities.
The programme will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, and conclude at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 10. Participants may also arrive on the evening of May 7 for prior registration and accommodation arrangements.
Open to priests, religious sisters, lay leaders, and members of Catholic and other Christian groups, the training will be conducted in English. Organisers have indicated that participants should also be conversant in a regional or vernacular language to effectively engage in grassroots outreach across diverse contexts.
Located within accessible distance of major transit points—including Mumbai’s international airport and Panvel railway station—the ARC venue provides a convenient setting for participants travelling from across the country.
The registration fee has been set at ₹1,000 per participant, covering accommodation, meals, and all training materials for the duration of the programme.
Organisers have invited interested individuals to take part in what they describe as a timely and meaningful initiative, aimed at deepening formation and energising pro-life engagement within the Church in India.
