Vatican City, December 15, 2025: Holy See has launched a fully digital version of the Pontifical Yearbook (Annuarium Pontificium), providing accessible and up-to-date information on Catholic Church institutions worldwide through web browsers and mobile applications.
The digital yearbook was made available from December 8, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, and is designed to offer continually updated data on the Dicasteries of the Roman Curia, dioceses, religious institutes, and Apostolic Nunciatures, overcoming the limitations of the traditional printed volume.
Pope Leo XIV, accompanied by Archbishop Edgar Peña Parra, Substitute of the Secretariat of State, and Fr. Lucio Adrián Ruiz, Secretary of the Dicastery for Communication, received the first login on the new platform and navigated the digital yearbook during its presentation. The Pope thanked the development team and encouraged them to continue improving the tool for the service of the Church.
Developed jointly by the Secretariat of State and the Dicastery for Communication, the online yearbook allows users to consult verified and official data from any device, marking a significant modernization of the Church’s informational resources. Access via browser or app enables researchers, bishops’ conferences, pontifical universities, and journalists to obtain certified information in real time without waiting for annual print editions.
According to the Secretariat of State, the digital Pontifical Yearbook is intended to serve a broad range of users by offering immediate access to authoritative Church data, reflecting the Vatican’s commitment to transparency, accuracy, and service to the global Catholic community.
