Patna, December 15, 2025 — The Archdiocese of Patna ordained three new priests during a Jubilee Year liturgical celebration held at St. Joseph’s Pro-Cathedral here on Monday, marking a significant moment for the Patna Mission.

The ordination was presided over by Archbishop Sebastian Kallupura of Patna and attended by priests, religious and lay faithful from across the Archdiocese. Archbishop William D’Souza, SJ, Archbishop Emeritus of Patna, was also present at the ceremony.

Fr. Ashish Paul, SJ, Fr. Ravi Bhushan, SJ, and Fr. Ravikant Kumar, all natives of the region, were ordained to the priesthood. Church officials described the ordination as a Jubilee event, underscoring the growth of indigenous vocations within the Patna Mission.

In his address, Archbishop Kallupura highlighted the significance of priestly service during the Jubilee Year, calling the ordination a sign of hope and renewal for the local Church. The newly ordained priests are expected to take up pastoral and missionary responsibilities within the Archdiocese.

The ceremony formed part of the Jubilee Year 2025 celebrations being observed by the Archdiocese of Patna, reflecting its continued emphasis on vocation promotion and pastoral outreach.
