St. Joseph’s Church, Bolarum, Telangana Welcomes the Diocesan Jubilee Crucifix

Secunderabad, Telangana, March 4, 2025: St. Joseph’s Church in Bolarum, Telangana, joyfully welcomed the Diocesan Jubilee Crucifix into its parish on February 1, 2025, as part of the celebrations for the 2025 Jubilee Year. This sacred symbol of Christ’s sacrifice was venerated during the First Saturday Rosary, Holy Mass, and First Friday Adoration at the church.


Following its veneration at the church, the Jubilee Crucifix embarked on a profound journey across the parish, visiting nearly 150 families, including non-Christian households that received it with reverence and prayer. The Sisters of St. Ann of Providence and the Sisters of Chennai, along with school staff, students, and parents, also honoured the crucifix with devotion.


Testimonies of faith and miraculous experiences emerged throughout the pilgrimage of the Holy Crucifix. Mrs. Sri Latha of Macha Bolarum shared that her long-standing prayers were answered after welcoming the crucifix into her home. Similarly, Ms. Pavani, a Hindu woman from Janapriya Apartments, found renewed hope in Jesus after parishioners prayed for her recovery from paralysis following an accident.


The spiritual journey of the crucifix fostered deeper faith, conversion, and unitywithin the parish Under the guidance of parish priest Fr. Valentine D’Mello, the faithful engaged in special prayers and hymns, shared via parish WhatsApp groups. 


On February 25, 2025, the crucifix was taken to Nagaram Ashram by Fr. Paul, continuing its pilgrimage of hope.


The parish community of St. Joseph’s Church, Bolarum, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Most Rev. Poola Cardinal Anthony, Archbishop of Hyderabad Archdiocese, for this sacred opportunity. With unwavering faith, they prayed that the Cross of Christ may remain a beacon of strength, hope, and renewal for all who encounter it.
