Sacred Vows and Milestones: A Joyous Day for the Congregation of Jesus Sisters, Allahabad

Prayagraj, February 2, 2025 – A significant event took place at the St. Mary’s Convent Provincial House Chapel in Prayagraj, as the Sisters of the Congregation of Jesus (CJ) Family, Allahabad Province, gathered to celebrate a day of spiritual milestones. The occasion was marked by the First Profession of Srs. Sebati Majhi and Kiran Tirkey, along with the Final Commitment of Srs. Maria Goretti Nayak CJ, Pushpa Lakra CJ, and Delna Chakkhiath CJ.

The celebration also honoured the Silver Jubilees of Srs. Bhavana Kunnappallil CJ and Sharon Plapparambil CJ, and the Golden Jubilee of Sr. Fernanda Pananthanam CJ, acknowledging their years of dedication and service.

Rev. Fr. Isidore D’Souza, Chancellor of the Allahabad Diocese, presided over the Eucharistic ceremony. In his homily, he encouraged the Sisters to embrace their calling as "pilgrims of hope," urging them to "look for Jesus, look at Jesus, and look with Jesus." His words resonated deeply with the congregation, inspiring them to strengthen their faith and deepen their commitment to service.

Following the Eucharist, the jubilarians were warmly felicitated with flowers and celebrated with a joyful cake-cutting ceremony. The event concluded with a fellowship meal, fostering a spirit of gratitude, joy, and community among the clergy, Sisters, and well-wishers.
