Registration Deadline for A.B. Vajpayee Medical University GNM Entrance Test Extended to May 22

Lucknow, May 20, 2025 – Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Uttar Pradesh (ABVMU-UP), has extended the registration deadline for the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) Entrance Test 2025 to May 22, 2025. The entrance exam will be held on June 11, 2025, and is mandatory for all aspiring GNM candidates seeking admission to recognised nursing institutions in the state. From this academic year, ABVMU-UP has made the entrance examination a compulsory requirement for students aiming to enroll in the three-year GNM Nursing course. This move standardises the admission process across Uttar Pradesh and removes any scope for direct admissions through management quotas.

Fr Vipin D Souza, Director of Nazareth School of Nursing, Prayagraj, informed prospective students and their guardians about the revised procedure, emphasising that admissions will be based solely on allotments made by the Nursing Council. "We have no say in the admissions. Students must appear for the entrance test and can choose our institute once the results are declared," he noted.

Nazareth School of Nursing, affiliated with ABVMU-UP, is one of the institutions students can opt for during the counselling phase. Further information and access to the entrance test registration portal are also available at www.nazarethhospital.in.

Students are urged to complete the online registration before the extended deadline to be eligible for the upcoming entrance test.
