Jesus Youth India Forms Young Communicators and Leaders Through National Resource Development Programme

May 18, 2026: Jesus Youth India has concluded its year-long Resource Development Program 2025–2026, equipping young leaders and aspiring resource persons from across the country through an intensive process of spiritual formation, leadership training and communication development.

Held in three phases across different cities, the programme brought together participants for a structured journey aimed at nurturing effective communicators and ministry leaders rooted in faith, discipline and authenticity. Phase I of the residential formation was conducted in Bangalore, followed by Phase II in Mumbai, while the concluding phase and anointing gathering took place at the Snehadaan Camillian Pastoral Centre in Bangalore.

The initiative, designed as a long-term accompaniment programme rather than a short-term workshop, combined nine days of residential formation with mentoring sessions, assignments, online gatherings, feedback processes and personal accompaniment throughout the year. Organisers said the programme sought to create a continuous learning experience that extended beyond classroom-based training.

The formation focused on both spiritual and practical dimensions of leadership. Participants underwent training in communication and public speaking, listening and comprehension skills, reflective reading and writing, preparing and delivering sessions, leadership in ministry, online communication etiquette, and the responsible use of technology and artificial intelligence in ministry contexts.

Interactive learning methods formed a major component of the programme. Through mock presentations, debates, group discussions and reflective exercises, participants were encouraged to develop confidence, clarity of expression and collaborative skills. Sessions also addressed teamwork, discipline, time management, financial responsibility and faith-based communication.

A distinctive feature of the programme was the close mentorship offered by facilitators, priests, volunteers and senior resource persons who accompanied participants throughout the formation process. This accompaniment model created opportunities for personal guidance, accountability and spiritual growth alongside skill development.

The final phase at Snehadaan included a thanksgiving gathering and Holy Mass, marking the culmination of the formation journey and commissioning participants for future service in ministry and professional spaces.

Organisers noted that the Resource Development Program aimed not merely at producing speakers or trainers, but at forming leaders capable of communicating with conviction, humility and spiritual rootedness. By integrating faith formation with leadership and communication training, the initiative sought to prepare young Catholics to contribute meaningfully to the Church and society.
