IYCS Signs MoU with St Aloysius University to Foster Global Youth Collaboration

Mangalore, April 22, 2025 —

The International Young Catholic Students (IYCS-JECI) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with St Aloysius Deemed to be University, Mangalore, India, marking a significant development in international youth cooperation and educational partnership.


The agreement was signed on April 22, 2025, with IYCS represented by its Secretary General, Roshan Melwyn Lobo, and St Aloysius University represented by its Vice Chancellor, Rev. Dr. Praveen Martis SJ.


The MoU outlines a framework for collaboration in several areas, including youth formation, certificate programmes, student exchange initiatives, and joint social action projects. It is expected to enhance opportunities for skill-building, intercultural engagement, and leadership development among young people both in India and globally.


The partnership underscores a shared vision of empowering youth through education, values-based leadership, and active participation in social change. The collaboration will facilitate the creation of academic and action-oriented platforms for students to engage in meaningful learning experiences beyond borders.


The signing ceremony was held on the campus of St Aloysius University and attended by university officials and IYCS representatives.

The initiative is seen as a step forward in strengthening the global footprint of IYCS and reinforcing the university’s role in international academic and social engagement.
