Diocese of Bareilly Marks Feast of St. Joseph the Worker and Jubilee of Workers

Bareilly, May 2, 2025: The Diocese of Bareilly joyfully celebrated the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker and the Jubilee of Workers on 1 May, across all its parishes, schools, hospitals, and health centres. All the employees—especially our dedicated Class IV staff—gathered to honour the dignity of human labour, inspired by St. Joseph, the humble carpenter of Nazareth, whose life reminds us that work is both sacred and salvific.

 Spiritual Celebrations

Solemn Eucharist: Each parish offered a Mass with special intentions for just wages, job security, and the flourishing of all workers.

Tokens of Gratitude: All workers—Christian and non‑Christian—were honoured with a token of gratitude for their dedicated service.

Testimonies: Staff members shared personal stories of challenges and hopes, strengthening mutual understanding.

Fellowship & Fun: Light games and friendly contests concluded each gathering, with winners receiving special prizes and applause.

This Jubilee of Workers united our diocesan family in gratitude and prayer, reaffirming our commitment to uphold the dignity of every individual who labours for the building up of God’s kingdom.
