Catholic Connect Introduces Digital Services for Pilgrims at Goa Exposition

Panaji, Goa, November 6, 2024: As the 18th Exposition of the Sacred Relics of St. Francis Xavier begins on November 21 in Old Goa, Catholic Connect has introduced a range of services to support pilgrims and enhance their spiritual journey. The app, which offers comprehensive features for the Catholic community, will provide special assistance, resources and digital access for the faithful attending the 45 day event, including those who are unable to visit in person.

Following a recent visit to Goa, where Catholic Connect’s team met with the Exposition organizers, the two groups agreed to collaborate closely. The Exposition team, impressed by Catholic Connect’s mission, embraced the partnership, granting the app exclusive access to offer insights and updates on this revered event.

The Catholic Connect team expresses gratitude to Fr. Henry Falcao, Convenor of the Exposition Committee, for his warm welcome and support in establishing Catholic Connect as the official digital partner for the Exposition of the Relics of St. Francis Xavier.

Catholic Connect will offer dedicated lines for the elderly and the sick, ensuring their safe and comfortable participation in the relic veneration. In addition, a detailed sitemap will be made available through the app, highlighting designated areas for prayer, relic veneration and other facilities within the shrine. This feature will also provide in-depth information about the Sacred Relics, enriching the spiritual understanding of the visitors.

For a more immersive experience, the App will offer audio-guided tours, where pilgrims can learn about the history of the Church and St. Francis Xavier. Moreover, for those unable to attend in person, Catholic Connect will offer a virtual experience, allowing Catholics worldwide to participate in the solemn exposition.

All updates will launch exclusively on the Catholic Connect App on November 8.
