Bible Diploma Course Inaugurated by Madras-Mylapore Archdiocese

Chennai, June 26, 2025: The Bible Commission of the Archdiocese of Madras-Mylapore launched the 2025–2026 academic year of its Bible Diploma Course on Sunday with a solemn Celebration of the Word of God.

Rev. Fr. Edward Anthonyraj, Secretary of the Bible Commission briefed the participants on the objectives and structure of the course. The inaugural session, titled “An Introduction to the Holy Bible,” was conducted by noted Scripture scholar Rev. Fr. Ubaldus Sundar.

The Commission has extended the deadline for enrollment until July 13, 2025, to accommodate more applicants. So far, 51 candidates have registered for the program.

In the previous academic year, 116 participants successfully completed the course. A certificate distribution ceremony for them will be held shortly, with Archbishop George Antonysamy of Madras-Mylapore presiding over the event.
