Berkheda, 21 March, 2025: St. Joseph the Worker Church, Berkheda, Bhopal, marked a momentous occasion as the Jubilee Cross arrived, coinciding with the celebration of International Women’s Day. The event began with the blessing and hoisting of the Jubilee Flag, followed by a grand procession led by women, symbolising "The Sacrifice of the Cross and the Honour of Women."
Rev. Fr. Vipin Tigga presided over the Holy Mass, setting a reverent tone for the celebration. The event continued with a vibrant cultural programme featuring active participation from clergy, religious sisters, and parish leaders. Men performed a joyous welcome dance and sang a heartfelt song, while children captivated the audience with an action song. Youth energised the gathering with a dynamic dance performance, and a thought-provoking dance drama paid tribute to the invaluable contributions of women to the Church and society.
Emphasising the vital role of women, Mr. Ranjit Tiru delivered an inspiring speech highlighted their contributions to society and the Church. Rev. Fr. Vipin Tigga, Rev. Fr. Leo Babu, and the parish priest expressed deep admiration and gratitude for their dedication. A seminar on health and hygiene, led by Dr. Neetu and Dr. Priya Mondal, provided essential insights to support women's well-being.
The celebration featured a unifying action song and a fellowship meal that fostered joy, community spirit, and a deep sense of faith, gratitude, and empowerment for women.
