Amravati, October 26, 2026: Priests of Amravati Diocese explored the legal and pastoral responsibilities of priestly ministry during a clergy recollection and training programme held at the Bishop’s House.
Led by Bishop Malcolm Sequeira, the programme featured Fr. K. T. Emmanuel, Judicial Vicar of the Archdiocese of Bombay, as the resource person.
The sessions examined Church law and its practical implications for pastoral ministry. Priests also had the opportunity to seek clarification on legal and ecclesiastical questions arising in their day-to-day responsibilities.
Eucharistic adoration formed part of the programme, providing time for prayer and spiritual reflection. The gathering also offered priests an opportunity to strengthen their fraternal bonds.
The initiative forms part of the diocese’s ongoing efforts to support the spiritual and professional formation of its clergy, encouraging the responsible exercise of ministry in keeping with the Church’s legal and pastoral requirements.
