VATICAN CITY, 21 April 2025: Following the death of Pope Francis, the Vatican has officially announced the postponement of the Eucharistic Celebration and the Rite of Canonization of Blessed Carlo Acutis, which was originally scheduled for April 27, 2025.

The decision was communicated by Vatican officials in light of the current period of mourning and the subsequent preparations required for the upcoming papal conclave. The Church has not yet provided a revised date for the canonization ceremony.

Blessed Carlo Acutis, a 15-year-old Italian teenager known for his deep devotion to the Eucharist and his innovative use of technology to spread the Catholic faith, has inspired countless young people around the world. His canonization was highly anticipated, especially during the Jubilee Year 2025.
