Training of Trainers 2025 Empowers Young Leaders in Lucknow Diocese

Lucknow, July 14, 2025 — The Lucknow Diocesan Youth Commission hosted a dynamic Training of Trainers 2025 program at St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Hazratganj, aiming to equip and empower young leaders across the diocese. Spearheaded by Rev. Fr. Dominic Pinto, Diocesan Youth Director, and Rev. Fr. Anup Lakra, Assistant Diocesan Youth Director, the event marked a significant step toward strengthening the spiritual and pastoral leadership of youth in the region.

A vibrant Praise and Worship session was led by the youth of Nitya Sahay Mata Church and St. Jude’s Church, setting a prayerful and united tone for the gathering. The Holy Eucharist, celebrated by Fr. Anup Lakra and concelebrated by Fr. Dominic Pinto, invoked God’s blessings upon all participants and the mission of youth ministry.

The inaugural session held in the Cathedral Hall was graced by Resource Person Mrs. Ashna George, newly appointed animators Sr. Maxima, Sr. Swapna, Sr. Sandhya, and Mr. Clinton Massey, alongside the diocesan leadership. Ms. Silvia Lawrence Joseph, Diocesan Youth Secretary, extended a warm welcome to all.

The heart of the program featured three enriching sessions and an interactive workshop conducted by Mrs. Ashna George, who guided participants through themes of leadership development, team collaboration, and pastoral engagement. Interspersed between the sessions were energetic action songs that kept spirits high and participants engaged.

The day culminated in a Retro Evening, a vibrant celebration of youth creativity and talent. Performances from various parish youth groups and a special act by the DEXCO team brought joy, unity, and a colorful close to the day’s activities.

In her vote of thanks, Ms. Sheryl Swing, Diocesan Youth Technical Head, expressed heartfelt appreciation to all individuals and teams who played a role in making the event a success.

The program was meticulously organised by the diocesan youth leadership team. The success of Training of Trainers 2025 stands as a testament to the faith-driven collaboration of the youth, under the spiritual guidance of Fr. Dominic Pinto (DYD), Fr. Anup Lakra (DYAD), and Sr. Rajni Tigga FDCC (DYLA). The event has sparked a renewed energy in the youth ministry, inspiring a generation of servant leaders across the Diocese of Lucknow.
