Kunkuri, Chhattisgarh, August 3, 2025: A massive protest rally, led by the Isai Adivasi Mahasabha, was held in Kunkuri Block, Jashpur District, Chhattisgarh, to strongly condemn what they called baseless allegations of religious conversion and human trafficking against two nuns apprehended at Durg Railway Station.
The demonstration commenced in afternoon from the Mini Stadium in Salyatoli, Kunkuri, and proceeded through Jai Stambh Chowk, culminating at the Football Ground in Kunkuri. Despite continuous heavy rainfall, an estimated 15,000 to 20,000 people from across the district joined the rally, exhibiting remarkable unity, discipline, and determination.

The event officially began with an address by Mr Abhinand Xalxo, who gave a detailed account of the incident that took place on 25 July 2025 at Durg, where two nuns were reportedly falsely accused and detained.
Several prominent figures addressed the crowd. Advocate Santosh Sahu, Smt Monica Toppo, and Mr Vinaysheel Gupta, President of the Nagar Panchayat, Kunkuri, were among the chief speakers.
