Churachandpur, Manipur, November 2, 2025: For the past 15 years, Mr. Khaiminlun Tungnung, a native of T. Daijang Village in Churachandpur District, has quietly carried out a unique digital ministry through his initiative, Vangam Chabi — meaning Key to Heaven. Every morning at exactly 4:00 AM, he faithfully shares a Bible verse across 35 WhatsApp groups, spreading the Word of God to hundreds of people before the day even begins.
The inspiration for Vangam Chabi emerged during Mr. Tungnung’s service in the Indian Army. Observing how deeply people were attached to their mobile phones, he recognised an opportunity to bring faith into the digital space. “Most people start their mornings by checking their phones,” he realised, “so why not make that first glance something that uplifts the soul?” This thought gave birth to a daily habit — sending out a verse of Scripture to inspire reflection, peace, and faith at dawn.
Despite the demands of military life and the challenges of everyday responsibilities, Mr. Tungnung has not missed a single day of sharing God’s Word for 15 consecutive years. His unwavering consistency reflects deep discipline and devotion. He says his motivation is simple — “If even one or two people are touched or encouraged by the message, then my mission is fulfilled.”
What began as a small act of faith has become a quiet yet powerful digital ministry. Many recipients of Vangam Chabi testify to how these early morning verses bring them comfort and strength amid life’s struggles.
Mr. Tungnung, however, remains humble about his work. He simply requests prayers for good health, so that he may continue this calling which he sees not as a duty, but as a gift and a personal way of spreading God’s Word.
For him, Vangam Chabi is far more than a daily routine — it is a spiritual calling, born out of love for God and compassion for people. Even while serving far from home and family, this act of faith allows him to stay spiritually connected with others and to nurture a sense of shared devotion.
In an age dominated by noise, distractions, and fleeting messages, Mr. Tungnung’s quiet discipline stands out. His daily act of sending Scripture into digital spaces has become a symbol of hope and a reminder that technology, when guided by faith, can also serve the divine.
Even if Vangam Chabi touches just one heart each day, it continues to open the “key to heaven” — a testament to one man’s steadfast belief that God’s Word, shared with love, can transform lives.
