Resurrection Church, Bangalore, Welcomes the Sacred Jubilee Cross with Reverence

Bangalore, 18 March, 2025: Resurrection Church in Indiranagar, Bangalore marked a significant occasion as it welcomed the Jubilee Cross with deep reverence and devotion on 15th March 2025. The cross arrived, and a solemn procession was held, with incense and flowers offered in honour of the sacred symbol. Children from the parish presented the flowers, adding a special touch to the occasion. Parishioners gathered in large numbers to follow the procession as the Jubilee Cross was carried into the church, where it was placed next to the altar.


The Holy Mass was celebrated by the parish priest, Fr. Balraj, who led the congregation in prayers and reflection. The parishioners took the opportunity to venerate the cross, showing their adoration for this sacred relic that holds a piece of the true Cross of Jesus.


The Resurrection Parish youth coordinated a beautiful Taizé prayer service. The prayer session immersed the faithful in chants, reflections on the passion of Christ, and a Latin litany of the saints by Fr. Terry Prakash, the Assistant Parish Priest. The atmosphere was one of meditative reverence, as the participants deepened their connection to the cross and its significance in the Christian faith.


Throughout the following day, the faithful continued to come in large numbers to venerate the Jubilee Cross. This powerful act of devotion fostered a sense of deeper reverence among the parishioners, as they contemplated the sacrifice of Christ and the importance of the cross in their spiritual lives.


The parish community came together in a profound moment of worship and adoration, united in their faith and reverence for the cross.
