Mega Bible Convention 2025 Set to Inspire Thousands at Mangalore Diocese

Mangaluru, March 5, 2025 The Mangalore Diocese is set to host the Mega Bible Convention 2025 from March 20 to 23 at the Holy Cross Church Cordel grounds, Kulshekar, promising a transformative spiritual experience for thousands of faithful. The event was officially announced by Most Rev. Dr. Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore, who also unveiled the convention’s logo and poster.

This year’s convention holds special significance as it follows the 50th anniversary of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal movement, now known as the Mangalore Diocesan Service Communion. With the continued support of Bishop Saldanha, the Diocesan Service Communion, in collaboration with the Bible Commission, clergy, and religious communities, has been actively organising prayer gatherings, training programmes, and faith-enriching conferences that have impacted thousands across the Diocese.

As the season of Lent begins, the convention seeks to spiritually prepare the faithful for the Jubilee Year 2025, commemorating the Nativity of Jesus Christ. Themed on Romans “5:5—“Hope does not disappoint us”, the event aims to deepen faith and renew one’s relationship with Jesus Christ.

The four-day programme will be held daily from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM, with renowned preacher Fr. Dominic Valanmanal from the Marian Retreat Centre, Annakara, Kerala, leading the sessions. The event is expected to draw an estimated 10,000 to 15,000 participants, offering a profound experience of prayer, healing, and renewal.

Faithful attending the convention will have the opportunity to pray for divine blessings upon their families, global peace, and the well-being of humanity.

The announcement event saw the presence of Msgr. Maxim Noronha, Vicar General; Fr. Clifford Fernandes, Parish Priest of Kulshekar Church; Roy Castelino, PRO of Mangalore Diocese; Allwyn D’Souza; Kevan D’Souza; and several others.

With immense anticipation building up, the Mega Bible Convention 2025 promises to be a transformative spiritual gathering for all those seeking faith, hope, and renewal.
